I am Dana Purviņa, the author of the idea of homemade goods' shop Catarineta. Catarineta at the moment includes two different brands: Ziepē and CatarinetaLV.

Ziepė is truly natural soap, which I make myself from edible oils and lye, as well as Himalayan pink salt, activated charcoal and other completely natural additives (or completely without them). The soap does not contain ready-made soap masses, is fragrance-free, without essential oils and absolutely without unnecessary ingredients. It is made not only with hands, but also with mind and heart.

Ziepė is not just a soap and bath products store - I also share my soap recipes here so that anyone who has the desire and means can make their own truly natural soap. Why? I don't think that natural hygiene products should be reserved only for those who can afford to pay more for them. I have a large family - and my dream is that natural soap and hygiene products are available to everyone who wants it, regardless of income level. If I can make soap for my family in my own home - you can too. Like in the old days!

CatarinetaLV is my artistic baby brand - these are handmade teeny tiny life-sized ladybug pins and stud earrings. All made by hand and painted with all accuracy and as close to real as I can get.

I have a wonderful husband and five healthy children - together we grow, develop and live creatively on a rural farm in Northern Vidzeme.
